How to insert your doctoral tam

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

Butter knife

Soft cloth or towel

Doctoral tam

Shipping tape

Lay frame facedown on soft cloth. Bend flexible tabs up with knife.

Remove both mat boards from the frame.

Set the backing board aside and pick up the mat board with the die-cut hole.

Position the doctoral tam over the die-cut hole, carefully centering it to your liking.

Carefully flip the mat board over, pulling the fabric headpiece through the hole and flattening it.

Keeping the fabric as taut as possible, secure the doctoral tam in place by creating an “X” with the shipping tape.

Place the backing board and mat board back together into the frame.

Secure the backing board by bending down flexible tabs with knife.

Congratulations! You have framed your doctoral tam.
